I’ve been neglecting to post, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been super busy working on lots new things. In April I decided to begin a 100 day challenge. This was a fun and challenging experience. I learned a lot about my style, preferences and work habits. Although it was a wonderful experience I’m excited to say today is the 100th day and I’m happy to take a little break from pattern making and regroup. So, here’s what I’ve been up to the past 100 days.
Here’s my assignment for week four of MATS Home Decor. The focus this week was on ceramics and hand drawn typography.
The focus for week three’s assignment was glass and patterns. I had so much fun creating lots of new patterns and thinking of ways they could be used in home decor.
Here’s my final piece from week two of Make Art that Sells Home Decor. This week the focus was on fabric. I’m a little disappointed with how my mock-ups look because I put a lot of detail into each individual piece of art and most of it gets lost once I reduce everything to fit on my presentation page. It was still a really fun week and I so happy I’ve been able to dedicate so much time to making new art.
I finished this awesome piece of wall art for MATS part A. This assignment was a more challenging than I expected, but I good love a challenge and I’m happy with the result.
I spent a long time obsessing over this assignment, but I finally finished my second Make Art that Sells project. The assignment was to illustrate a series of plates for the Home Decor market. I’m loving this class so much. I can actually see my work evolving.
